Outside Fun

Today, after Daddy mowed the grass, he watered it... Leave it to Carlee to decide to play in the water fully clothed.... Ah to be a kid again... :)

Then, they decided to plant her flower seeds:

Kid Carnival

Today, the base's school faculty held a carnival for kids. We had a car appointment this morning at 10 AM and had to hang around base until 4 PM for the event. (It was hard convincing Tony to keep waiting around...) But it was sooo worth it. Carlee had a blast. They don't do many things targeted to Carlee's age group, so I really wanted to take her to this. The games were great for her age, the tickets to play were super cheap (25cents each) and they gave prizes away like crazy! Carlee loved it! Here are some pictures from today:

(She's got good taste, huh? lol)

In her Pirate bandana she won at the treasure hunt game:
Ready to start the Animal Races game:
In the lead at this point, but she didn't end up winning:
(She still got stickers though)

Ring Drop (err... I mean Toss) lol:
*They let her just drop them on and she STILL didn't get any on the bottles! LOL
SWISH! Nothin' but net!
There were a couple of other games, but these were all the pictures I got. She had such a good time, and it was a great day. After we got home, she got to open a present that came in the mail. (She'd been waiting all day to open it... hehe)

Look at her excitement! At bed time, she was brushing her teeth, and I realized her hair was long enough to braid. So I did! I was so excited haha! She liked it too.

Pretzel Time

I just got this picture off of a friend's camera. This was on May 2nd. We got to learn how to make German pretzels at a friend's house. Carlee had a lot of fun.

Birthday Girl!!!

Carlee is definitely no longer a baby! This year she enjoyed her birthday so much more than ever before! We were so excited for her!

On Thursday (her birthday) I held a playdough & cupcakes playgroup for her and her friends. A few kids came over and they all had a blast!

3 Year Old Carlee before all her friends came over:

Then on Sunday we had her birthday party. We kept it as simple as possible this year, but it still turned out fun and great for the kids. The party was at the park, so they loved playing on the playground. We also had kites and bubbles, then cupcakes and presents!

Gah, she's so big:

She had to fight to open her own presents:

Ahhh, there we go:

I can't believe she's 3!!!!

Carlee's Kite

Carlee has wanted a kite for about two months now. We've been patiently waiting for the Nex to get them in, and finally they did! She picked out Dora, and we got a Spiderman kite for Daddy. We went to the park as soon as we got home from base. She was excited at first, then lost interest as soon as they were in the sky. Instead, she wanted to swing and play with a little boy on the playground. Eventually, she came back and I helped her fly her kite. She liked it so much.

Carlee's Whale

the other day, we were all in the living room. I was reading on the couch, Tony was taking a nap on the other couch, and Carlee was on the floor drawing on my eraser board. Out of nowhere, Carlee wanted me to hold the board so she could erase, so I did. She began drawing and I kept reading, and then she said, "Mommy look! Look at my whale!"

"Mmhhum.." I said before even looking down. I marked my page and looked down and saw this:" Wow!" I said. I couldn't believe she drew this. lol. I made her immediately go and wake up Tony to show him while I grabbed the camera. hehe. The outline was surely by chance, but it was really cool that she turned it into what she thought it looked like. :)
